Irwin M. Judd Funeral Home was founded in 1954 on Market Street in Scranton, Pennsylvania. In 1969 the Hamilton Street building was purchased from a local doctor, after a year of extensive renovations the Hamilton Street location was opened. Later that same year the Market street location was closed.
Our building was built in 1900 for a local doctor and served as a "mini-hospital" until his passing in the late 1960's. Standing three stories with over 9,900 square feet we are a full service funeral home available to meet the needs of our families with ease.
We specialize in International Shipping of remains in addition to traditional services.
Our staff is well seasoned and dedicated to serving the community with dignity and honor at all times.
Recent updates to our facility include...New interior paint, hand plastered ceilings, addition of another first floor bathroom, new first floor casket showroom and exterior landscaping.
Judd-Beville Funeral Home was founded on the belief that our customers always come first. We believe that a high quality service does not require a high price. At Judd-Beville Funeral Home we have several cost effective options available. Our entire team is committed to arranging a beautiful lasting tribute to your loved one. We have created packages to cater to all budgets and tastes. We also have the ability to produce custom memorial DVD's in a matter of hours.
As of October 2016 Irwin M Judd Funeral Home continues its next chapter. On October 24, 2016 the Irwin M Judd Funeral Home ceased operations. Ownership has transferred and we are now in our next generation. To better reflect our current status we have incorporated and our new name is Judd-Beville Funeral Home, Inc. Mr. Stokes Stitt, Jr. a second generation funeral director with roots back to 1941 will serve as our supervisor. Timothy E. Beville, Jr, is the new owner and President. Our staff will remain the same as will our dedication and service to our families. We welcome the opportunity to earn your trust. Sadly after this transition our Founder Mr. Irwin M. Judd passed away. Judd-Beville Funeral Home is proud to be the largest African American Family Owned Funeral Home in the Lehigh Valley.
