Wanda J Kriebel

Wanda Kriebel, 64, of Northampton, Pennsylvania passed away at St. Luke’s Allentown on August 21st 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania to her loving mother, Charlotte J. Sine. She is predeceased by her father, Charles Heffentrayer.  

She graduated in 1978 from Parkland High School. She achieved an associate's degree from Penn State Lehigh Valley and a Bachelor's degree from Cedar Crest College.  She was a dedicated employee who took pride in working as a machinist. She enjoyed the many friends she made through the years of working and she maintained those relationships throughout her life. 

In addition to her mother Charlotte, she is survived by her son Derick Gibson and wife Becky, of Palmer Township. Her son Harley Kriebel and fiancé Cassie Renaldo of Northampton. She was blessed with three grandchildren that she talked about to all that would listen, Lillian Gibson, Katherine Gibson, and Peirce Kriebel; predeceased by her grandsons Dylan and Riley Gibson.  

We all know the greatest love of her life was actually dog, Granger. She enjoyed taking him for walks, laying with him on the couch, and when he knew just how sick she was, she allowed him to sleep in the bed with her. Wanda’s greatest passions were her Spartan races. She was both a competitor and a volunteer. She achieved 5 Trifectas, won countless other medals, and she met many wonderful friends and adversaries throughout her competitions. Throughout those tough races, Team Oscar Mike kept her motivated to keep putting one foot in front of the other. 

Wanda had an incredible zest for life and made friends everywhere she went. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends and the people she met along the way whose lives were indelibly changed by a chance encounter with her. 

Funeral Services will take place on Tuesday August 27, 2024 at 6:30PM in the Funeral Home, Viewing begins at 5PM
