Robert Clark II In Our Care

On the night of March 29th, 2022 we lost the jovial laughter of Robert “Rob” William Lenius Clark II.

Rob was born in Stroudsburg on May 8, 1962, the youngest child of Robert William Lenius Clark and Dorothy May Dawe Clark with a coffee cup in his hand. A happy child, he enjoyed activities including music, swimming, football, dressing up as "Robin" with a homemade cape flying behind him, and sleeping in until awoken by prodding from by his loving mother.

After graduating from Stroudsburg High School in 1980, he proudly served in the US Navy as a Medical Corpsman at Camp Pendleton, CA and perfected wheelies on a forklift.

A joyful man, Rob most recently loved his work as Nurse Assistant for Hospice Services in Allentown and Audiology Schedule Manager at the VA Hospital in Wilkes-Barre, where he loved providing encouragement and spreading his joy and coffee to others.

Rob relished belting out tunes on road trips, as well as, performing in the First Presbyterian Church Youth Choir, Pocono Boys Choir, and Faith Presbyterian (Emmaus) and Hamilton Lutheran Church Choirs . He frequently attended blues concerts and drove many miles to "get his fill of the soul” from the many artists he enjoyed.

Rob loved the Lord and was a faithful servant. He was a teaching elder in the Presbyterian Church (USA) and preached as a substitute at White Haven and Faith Presbyterian as well as other churches in the area. He was also furthering his theological studies at Moravian Seminary.

He loved to volunteer his time wherever needed, especially cooking and serving others alongside his loving partner, Paula Bond. Paula and Rob spent many years enjoying each other's company & sharing their love of God with others despite Paula not drinking coffee.

Rob's impact on the lives he touched through his involvement in recovery was a cherished accomplishment and his life was enriched by those who helped him along the way.

He lit up a room with his jubilant personality and made everyone feel right at home wherever he was and thoroughly enjoyed coffee. Rob was an outstanding teller of stories and, man, was he funny.

He is survived by his son, Robert “Clarky” William Lenius Clark III (Carley) and grandchild, Roxie Dot Clark, of Neptune, NJ, daughter Bailey Elizabeth Clark of Philadelphia, PA as well as sisters Jocelyn Clark of Greensboro, GA, Shelley Nickel (Marty) of Richmond, VA, and Erin Labate (Carmen) of Marysville, PA, nephews Daniel Heath and Colin Clark and niece Kathryn Heath. He was preceded in death by his parents.
