Richard Mayne, 77, formerly of Pompton Lakes, passed away in his home in Forks Township, PA on Friday, February 17, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones.
Born in Gary, Indiana, Richard grew up in Westfield, NJ and graduated from Westfield H.S. Class of 1964. He attended Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh and went on to serve as a Medical Technician in the U.S. Navy. After 22 years of employment, Richard retired from Hoffman-LaRoche of Nutley, NJ in 1995. Richard enjoyed cooking, carpentry, watching American football, attending live theatre events, and travelled to more than 50 countries during his lifetime. He was also a trophy-winning member of the Hoffman-LaRoche Inter Company bowling league.
Richard will be missed by his beloved wife of 30 years, Katharina; his daughter Laura and son-in-law Gus Perez of Pompton Lakes, his daughter Kristina Stoll of Forks Township, PA; and his four lovely granddaughters: Kayla Perez, Melissa Perez, Sarah Stoll and Emma Perez. Richard was predeceased by his parents Charles Russell and Ruth Arlene (McCabe) Mayne and a sister Ruthann Elizabeth Mayne. He is survived by a brother David Mayne of Annapolis, MD and a sister Linda Markee of Vancouver, WA.
A memorial service will be held at a later date for the immediate family.
