Marel "Pilo" Herrera In Our Care

Marel "Pilo" Herrera Sr. of Allentown passed away on Tuesday February 2nd, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was ready to meet his Savior, and now rests in the presence of the Lord.

Pilo was born in El Progreso, Honduras on July 14, 1956. He married his wife, Miriam, on May 21, 1981. They immigrated to the United States a few years later where they raised their three sons.

He was a faithful employee and a handyman, working as an upholster at BK Upholstery in Boyertown for 32 years.

Pilo is survived by his wife: Miriam; sons: Marel and wife Adriana; Joshua and wife Genesis, and Christopher and wife Indiany; grandchildren: Jordy, Angel, Joshua, Jacob, Diego, Leonardo, and Eliana.

The Herrera family wishes to extend sincere thanks to all those who have reached out. A family-centric man, Pilo’s family says he was strongly devoted to his faith; and while he will be greatly missed, they rest assured that he has entered into the presence of the LORD.

Psalm 1: 2-3 but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.

Homegoing services will take place on Tuesday February 9th, 2021 at the Pentecostal Church of God MI, 217 N. 2nd Street Allentown PA 18102. The viewing will take place from 10-11 and the service will follow at 11. Internment will take place following services in Cedar Hill Memorial Park.
