Leroy Wheeler, Sr.

Leroy Wheeler, Sr., 69, of Bethlehem, PA passed away on March 11, 2025 in Lehigh Valley Health Network-17th St. Campus.  Born in Easton, PA on May 18, 1955 he was the son of the Late Albert Wheeler, Sr., and Mamie Maude Ransom-Wheeler.  He was the loving husband of Darlene (Seiple) at home.  Leroy was raised on South Side Easton and attended Easton Area School District.  While in school he ran track, played softball on the Holmes League and football. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy.  After a skiing accident he returned home with a Medical Discharge (Honorable).

Leroy enjoyed going dancing every Friday at the Mix where he met a host of friends.

He leaves to carry his legacy in addition to his Wife Darlene, his children Leroy Wheeler, Jr. of Easton, PA Dr. Mamie Maude Futrell (Jerrel) of Dover, Delware, Rochell Williams and Mya Marie Wheeler of Bethlehem, PA a Step Daughter Alicia Seiple of Bethlehem, PA.  He also raised two children as his own Chris and Todd Bell.  Brothers, Clifford Ransom of Easton, PA, Larry and Anthony of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Sisters, Pat Wheeler-Gibson (Larry), and Valerie Wheeler-Davis both of Easton, PA.  Grandchildren, Shaun, Nina Rose, Jayce, Dionte’, Zakiyah and Annalia. Leroy also leaves behind a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents Leroy was preceded in death by his Brothers, Melvin and Albert Wheeler, Jr., and A Sister Dorothy.

Funeral Services with Military Honors will take place on Wednesday March 19, 2025 at 12PM in Greater Shiloh Church 403 Fred Davis St. Easton, PA.  Viewing begins at 10AM.  Interment will take place in Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery-Annville, PA
