James Lee Robinson, born April 4, 1954, in Florence, South Carolina, was the beloved son of the late Jeff and Lottie Robinson. James received his early education in Florence before moving to Brooklyn, New York, where he made his home for more than fifty years. In his later years, he relocated to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where he was lovingly cared for by his brother and sister-in-law until his passing.
James was a gentle soul with a deep love for his family. He cherished every moment spent with his nieces and nephews and held a special fondness for singing church hymns with his mother and watching movies with his father. His bond with his brothers and sisters remained strong throughout his life, and he treasured the time they shared together.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jeff Robinson; his mother, Lottie Robinson; his brother, Thomas Robinson; and his sister, Annie May Byrd.
James leaves to cherish his memory: his sister, Lottie Edward; his brother, John Robinson; his sister-in-law, Crystal Robinson; His uncle , Frank Ellis, his aunts Easter-May Ellis and Georgia Gibbs and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
Funeral Services will take place on Friday at 4PM in St. James A.M.E. Zion Church 410 Union St. Allentown, PA 18102. Viewing begins at 3PM.
Graveside services and Interment will take place promptly at 9AM Saturday in Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
