James C Chavers

James Craig Chavers was born January 7, 1962 to Thelma Lawrence and is preceded in death by his father Millard and brothers Kirk and Earl. Craig grew up and attended school in the Newark school system before going on to Mercer County Community College, where he explored different fields of study and career paths. Later, he enrolled at Lehigh Carbon Community College, earning his CDL to drive tractor-trailer trucks and a certification as a Diesel Truck Mechanic. Driving was one of Craig’s passions, and he was excited about starting his own business. He lived life to the fullest, stood up for what he believed in, and was always willing to help others.

Craig met the love of his life, Denise Chavers, on April 12, 1989. She loved him deeply and called him her “BAE.” The two married on September 11, 1999, and shared a bond that brought Craig great joy and strength throughout his life.
 

On Sunday, December 15, 2024, Craig departed his life suddenly in Pennsylvania he leaves to cherish precious and fond memories to his loving wife Denise Chavers, his greatest treasures his children Khalif Franklin, Basheem Williams, Shakirah Williamson, Ja’mese Chavers, Yakima Chavers. He was lovingly known by his grandchildren as “Pop Pop”and leaves Jhace , August (AJ) Nasheem, Jahzier, Giziaha, Malikye, Messiah, Elijah, Egypt, Shaquan, Kaiden, London, Shyloh, Khalif Jr., Ky’Andre, Kylie and one great grandaughter Honesty. He leaves his mother Thelma Lawrence, two brothers Aaron Lawrence and John Lucas whom he loved dearly. Craig touched many lives and will be missed by his family and friends.

Funeral Services will take place on Saturday December 28, 2024 at 2PM in Greater Shiloh Church 403 Pastor Fred Davis Street, Easton, PA.  Viewing begins at 1PM.
