Evelyn Williams In Our Care

Evelyn L. Williams of Moore Township at age 83 and longtime partner of Ted M. Swider, has expired February 23 in Northampton County’s Gracedale Home.

She was a lifelong expert merrow sewing machine operator. Her most major employer in the last several decades was Highland Fashions on Allentown’s Hanover Avenue. Later in her life, she worked on cleaning jobs locally for Sunshine Cleaners and ServiceMaster.

She loved dogs and cats, and since the 80’s, had at least one stray cat in her home. Though she didn’t drive a car until her mid-forties, she became a very good driver, which greatly helped her for her later working career.

Evelyn requested that any sympathetic donations be directed towards the ASPCA, World Wildlife Fund, PETA, or similar organizations.

Services are private with the family.
