Leslie Earl Wilson
Leslie Earl Wilson was born on Saturday, December 18, 1947, in Reidsville, N.C. to the union of the late Gordon Wilson and the late Bettie Mae (Campbell) Wilson. Leslie received his formal education in the Rockingham school district and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School with the class of 1965. Having the desire to further his education, he attended North
Carolina Central University from which he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting in 1972.
After graduation, Leslie was recruited and hired by Pennsylvania Power and Light Company (PPL) in their Accounting Department. On November 21, 1975, he married his college sweetheart, Rev.
Jacqueline (Pittman) Wilson. They would have been married fifty years on November 21, 2025. Having answered the call into the ministry, Leslie received his Deacon
and Elder appointment after completing the required studies of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church. He pastored St. Mark A.M.E. Zion Church, Newtown, PA; Mt. Tabor A.M.E. Zion Church, Avondale, PA; Poplar Street A.M.E. Zion Church, Philadelphia, PA; and St. James A.M.E. Zion Church where he served faithfully from 2005 – 2016.
He was a community activist. He served as a member of the Council of Churches, Allentown, and he was the founder of the United Black Minister Alliance (UBCMA). He was an avid golfer. In his leisure time, you could find him in the garage cleaning his clubs and shoes preparing for the next game. Also, he loved the Lakers, Yankees, and the Fliers.
On Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the Hospital in Easton, PA, Rev. Leslie E. Wilson at the age of 77 years transitioned from earth into eternal life. He leaves to celebrate his life, his wife, Rev. Jacqueline (Pittman) Wilson; his sons, Duane Valdis Wilson of Memphis, TN and Dedric Ashton Wilson (Makita), Allentown, PA; his daughter, Valencia (Regan) Wilds (Randy) of Waldorf, MD; his sisters, Judy Odds, Janice Coffin, Bettie Lavern Wilson (all from Reidsville, NC.); his brothers, Alvino Wilson (Vanessa Dale); Gordon, Wilson, Jr (Vanessa) of Winston Salem, NC; Larry Wilson (Sandra) of Milwaukee, WI; Anthony Wilson (Shirley) of Winston Salem, NC; hosts of many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will take place in St. James A.M.E. Zion church 410 Union St Allentown, PA at 10AM Saturday November 15,2025. Visitation will take place in the church on Friday from 5-6:30PM, followed by a service of Reflection and Remembrance from 6:30-8PM.And again from 9-10AM Saturday.
Interment will follow services in Cedar Hill Memorial Park.
