Dexter Beville, 7, of Allentown, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 27, 2021 in my arms. Dexter was born in Bethlehem, PA to Galaxy and the Late Leinda Rockmore.
Dexter has been apart of the family since he was 9 weeks old. There was never EVER a day that he didn't do something that would bring a smile to my face and even make me laugh out loud.
Dex AKA "Bruiser" was truly a sweet and loving part of the Beville family. He loved to sing along to youtube video's, no matter what it was, he would always sniff it before he would eat it, he loved to play with blue toys more than any other color. He would spend his days with me in the office, sitting on my desk chair, often times looking over my should at whatever was happening on the computer screen. He loved cheese, but would go crazy over apple slices. He always fell asleep on his back with all 4 legs up in the air. He loved to ride in the car, but hated the rain. He loved laying on top of the couch so he could look out the window and watch the guys across the street at the barber shop. He loved all dogs, didn't care for cats and really had issues with bee's! He knew when I was sad... and he would just lay his head on my lap and if only for a moment make it all go away. If I left the room for only a minute, when I returned he was always there to meet me (like I had been gone forever). From the moment he came home, he slept every night next to me until he got sick in February and for the first time in his life he spent 4 days in the hospital. When he came from after that he NEVER left my side again.
Dexter was faithful, loyal, loving, kind and fought right up until the end. DEXTER TRULY MANS BEST FRIEND....
Dexter leaves so many behind to honor his memory.... Timothy Beville, Jr., also his blood brother Mason Beville (here at home), his "girl" Daisy Beville (at home), his favorite human after me Devin, the loving current and former staff members of the Funeral Home, a host of community friends and a facebook fan club of over 800! He was preceded in death by his Mother and his four babies Lilly, Layla, Silas and Harvey Beville.
A very special thank you to Maria Jones who was there with me until the very end. The wonderful and kind staff of the Hamilton Animal Care-Trexlertown Location, Laps of Love Hospice and to my church family and friends for all of your acts of love and kindness.
There will be a public viewing for Dexter on Tuesday from 5-6:30PM here at the funeral home for those that would like to see him one final time. Private cremation will take place on Wednesday Morning at Creekside Pet Crematory in Stroudsburg. We are heartbroken that he is gone, but so very thankful for the 7 years of laughter and joy that he brought to our lives. Run Free Dexter!!!
