Debbie Bethel In Our Care

There are lives that shine quietly yet brighten everyone fortunate enough to walk beside them. Such was the life of Deborah Ann Redmond-Bethel. Born in Wilson, Mississippi County, Arkansas, to the late Norma C. Redmond, and raised in Allentown, Pennsylvania, Debbie was the oldest of five sisters. From a young age, she embraced the values of love, faith, and family. As the eldest sibling, she was often the steady voice of reason that her family could always rely on for comfort, strength, and understanding.

Debbie loved sports and the excitement of the game. As a dedicated fan of football and basketball, she proudly supported her favorite team, the Philadelphia Eagles, every season. Her enthusiasm and spirit were contagious, as was her laughter, always joyful and sincere. Family was the heart of her world. She was there to celebrate every achievement, milestone, and joyful moment with those she loved. Moments such as helping in delivering her great-niece, Savannah. Debbie’s humor and warmth lit up every gathering, and while she joked that the only thing organized in her house was her collection of family photos, that collection told her story best, capturing the people she cared about most. Alongside her devoted husband, Reynold Bethel, Debbie created a home filled with faith, laughter, and lasting love. Together, they raised two sons, teaching them honesty, compassion, and perseverance. Debbie lived each day as a reflection of her deep and unwavering faith in God. In the 1990s, she answered a sacred call and became a minister, sharing the Word of God with gentle grace and conviction. Through her ministry, Debbie touched many lives, comforting the brokenhearted, guiding those in need, and reminding everyone who listened to stand firm in faith and love others endlessly. For over 20 years, Debbie worked faithfully at AT&T, where her dedication, honesty, and professionalism earned her the respect of everyone she worked with. After her early retirement, she continued to face each day with joy, drawing strength from prayer, scripture, and her love for family. Faith was the foundation of Debbie’s life. She frequently shared scripture passages with loved ones, reminding them to always trust in God’s plan. Her home was warm and close-knit, filled. Her life was overflowing with the

little things like movie nights at AMC, milkshakes at Friendly’s, and simple, everyday moments that turned into treasured memories.

Those who knew Debbie best will forever cherish her bright spirit, honesty, and unwavering love. In her final days, she embraced her journey home with peace and faith, reassuring her family that she was ready to rest in the Lord’s embrace. On Sunday, March 8, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Fountain Hill, surrounded by her loved ones, Debbie peacefully embraced her final journey with grace and calm.

Her earthly journey may be over, but her light continues to shine in every life she touched, in the prayers she whispered, in the love she shared, and in the lessons she selflessly offered.

Preceded in death by her mother, Norma C. Redmond; sisters Theresa Jean Redmond and Susan Marie Reilly-Kessler; and nephew Nigel Zachariah Redmond.
