Damien Egeh In Our Care

Damien Liban Hussein Egeh entered eternal rest on June 12, 2022. He was 44 years of age.
Born January 5, 1978, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of Helen Peterson and Hussein Abdi Egeh. He
attended Washington public schools and then attended Montgomery College, where he was inducted
into the Phi Theta Kappa Society, the International Scholastic Order of two-year colleges. He transferred
to Towson University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electronic media and film. He enjoyed
a winter internship in New York City with the former Sally Jessy Raphael Show. He earned a certificate
from the New York Film Academy at Princeton University and was proud of the short 16mm film he
made.
Damien could speak knowledgeably about and owned many books on film. He especially admired Akira
Kurosawa, Francois Truffaut, Stanley Kubrick and Martin Scorsese. He watched "Goodfellas" so many
times that he could recite most of the lines...and got his mother to like it also. When he lived in the
Washington area, he enjoyed movie screenings at American Film Institute and Washington Gallery of
Art.
He previously worked at the former Montgomery County Cable Channel and then at Voice of America in
Washington, D.C. He moved to Easton and provided care for his grandmother.
He is survived by his mother Helen, beloved uncle Dana Carter and his children and grandchildren; and a
wide circle of special people who were considered siblings, aunts and uncles, including the Bateman,
Carter, Chapman, Douglas, Ellison, Gilbert, Griffin, Hepburn, James, Lee, Lockhart, McGriff, Simmons,
Strickland, Tyson, Peterson and Egeh families, and good friend Justin Levine.
He was preceded in death by his father Hussein, grandparents George and Barbara Peterson who
provided loving care and guidance, aunt Alcetrena Peterson who shared her gourmet dishes and love of
life with him, and fun uncle Michael Peterson.

Funeral Services will take place on Friday June 24, 2022 at 11AM in Green Pastures Community Church 28 N. 10th Street, Easton, PA.  Viewing beings at 10AM.
