Cheryl Ann Smith 79, of Martins Creek-Bangor passed away peacefully with family by her side at home on November 26th 2025, after a long battle with cancer.
She was born on July 13th 1946, to the late Charles and Pearl France in Hornell, NY.
Cheryl was predeceased by her husband Richard S Smith, her step-son Stephen Smith and her son-in-law Randy Rider.
She is survived by a daughter, Cindy (late Randy) Rider Of Gasport, NY. A son Daryl Erskine (Ericka Martin) of Bangor, PA. Step-son Scott Smith Of Philadelphia, PA. A brother Raymond (Stephanie) France of Hornell, NY. Beloved Grandmother to Shannon (Brad), Brandi (RJ), Atlas and five great-grandchildren Trey, Jayce, Jameson, Kayson and Mason along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also survived by her dear friends and the best roommates William Bertha and Nina Featherman-Reuther of Bangor, PA who have lived with her for the past 23 years.
She loved going to the casino, going to bingo, playing cards and board games. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, baking and gardening which led to her roadside stand Cherrick Farms that brought many patrons who later on became great friends to her.
She was a life member of the VFW post #739 in Bangor. She worked for Sears in New York, and ended her 30 year career in Easton, PA. She will truly be missed by all.
