Remembering Bishop Rouse, as a statesman who epitomized a servant of Christ, love of family and love of people. A Bishop who always had a warm and kind word to share, never overlooking the least. A preacher who preached the Word of God. Condolences to the family.

Sending our love, thoughts and prayers to you during this time. We remember Bishop with so much fondness, his warmth, hearty laughs and gregarious personality. Aww! He will be greatly missed but the treasure of his memories live on. Bishop lived a full life - it is clear he set out to do all he was commissioned to do On this earth and know God’s “well done” was given well before he arrived in heaven. His life inspires and challenges us! A life well lived...

God’s comfort and grace to the family.
Much love and prayers,
The Ongwenyi’s

Wishing the family loving memories to forever hold in your heart.
It is with great sadness that I will not enjoy Bishop Willies S. Rouse's fellowship in this life. I truly enjoyed being with him at our last family reunion.

My heartfelt condolences to the Rouse family and the Rose of Sharon Church family.... I fondly remember our dear Bishop and the many comments of encouragement he would often extend to me as a young man in ministry when I resided in Brooklyn, NY. I last saw Bishop a few years ago when I visited during a Northeastern District Assembly fellowship of the COC, Disciples of Christ. Even at that time I received his strong embrace and encouraging words as he remarked of the ministry work he heard I had undertaken in West Africa. I am grateful for all he planted in my life and ministry .... I am indebted to his many encouragements and prayers. Take your rest Bishop Rouse, indeed you have labored well.... Await your eternal reward.

We share your grief at the passing of this man of God. It was under Bishop Rouse's leadership that I received the most wonderful gift of all - GOD's free gift of salvation. My life is in Jesus and has been enriched beyond my dreams. I'm sure there are many such stories of lives that were changed by His ministry. Even as I'm praying for the family's loss, I'm thanking GOD that I had the opportunity to know his servant, Bishop Willie S. Rouse.
Yours in Christ. Meshelder Richardson
