Barbara "Bobbi" White, 65, transitioned peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, January 13, 2025, at St. Luke’s Anderson in Pennsylvania.
Born on November 8, 1959, in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Alberta Sampson, Bobbi was a nurturing soul who touched the lives of everyone she met. Her kindness and generosity knew no bounds, always offering a helping hand, a kind word, or a place to stay. Bobbi's infectious smile and radiant spirit could light up any room, and she always knew how to make others feel valued and loved.
Bobbi had a long and successful career. She became a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant in 1998, where she found joy in empowering others. In 2006, she relocated to Stewartsville, NJ, and in 2016, began working at Verizon Headquarters in Basking Ridge, NJ, as an Executive Assistant. She was promoted to Senior Analyst in 2022, where she continued to demonstrate her dedication and work ethic.
Bobbi was an active and beloved member of the Greater Shiloh Church in Easton, PA, where she served on the registration team and became part of a supportive sisterhood. She also volunteered her time at the Food Pantry, embodying her lifelong commitment to giving back to others in need.
Bobbi had a deep love for music and dancing, and she was always ready to hit the dance floor. She was a devoted fan of TV shows such as FBI, Law & Order SVU, and Chicago Med/Fire/PD, and could often be found browsing HGTV, Home Depot, or Raymour & Flanigan for her next home improvement project.
Bobbi will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her brother, Charles White and his Wife (Dee); daughter, Nowella Yerby; son, Derrick Briggs; and granddaughter, Nia Yerby-Sullivan and her best-friend since the 6th grade Colette Johnson and close friend Annette; and all of her nieces and extended family members.
Above all, Bobbi was a fighter. Even in her toughest moments, she never gave up. In her final days, with her arms stretched out , her final words were very clear: "Put my feet on the floor…I’m ready to go home."
Funeral Services will take place on Wednesday January 22, 2025 at 1PM in Greater Shiloh Church. Viewing begins at 12PM.
