Antonio Jamal Johnson also known as Tony Johnson, 36, was born in Newark, New Jersey on July 3rd 1984.
Son of Nora Johnson; Tony was raised in Newark and attended the public school systems until middle school before moving to Bethlehem, PA. with his family. He completed his education by graduating from Freedom High School in Bethlehem, Pa.
His mom Nora Johnson saw the completion of her family when she was able to add her son to her two girls who quickly became the little mothers to their baby brother. As a child Tony Family kept him under the word of God; he was a member of Bible-way Pentecostal Church in Newark New Jersey, when moving to Pennsylvania he became a member of The New Creation Church in Allentown.
From his birth Tony sisters’ took on the motherly role. That role of mother/sister continued to grow even deeper when their moms Nora health declined. As you can imagine there was lots of love in Tony’s life, with 3 loving women.
Tony was also blessed with a few special men in his life along the way to help guide him on his earthly journey to manhood. Ron Goodwin (Brother) played a major part in his transition from a boy to man. Another special person throughout Tony life is his longtime brother and friend Richard Fern from this friendship came Tony Extended Family whom Tony loved deeply Grandma Jane(Salvador), Aunt Penny, and Nanny
Tony relationship with his four nieces Christina, MeAsia, Ebony, & Tytiona was more than special. He had a remarkable bond with them that they shared that was inseparable, a bond that could never be broken. He was more than Uncle; he was a brother and a friend which and cherished their relationship.
Tony was very Passionate about spending time with family, and spent most of his time with them. He loved music, video games, going to amusement parks. He had a passion for helping anyone in need and could always be counted on.
He was a hard worker and spent much of his life working. Tony always held down 2 jobs at a time most of his life, where he was rewarded with promotions and supervisory positions. Before his sudden passing he worked at Pack & Polish and Wehaul.
Tony was caring, charismatic, loyal, kind, outgoing, strong, funny, and goofy, a lover and a fighter but most of all, he was himself.
Tony was preceded by death: Nora Johnson (Mom), Josephine Goodman (Grandmother)
Tony leaves to cherish his memory his loving sisters- Deborah (Wali), Mishia (Ronald) Goodwin,
Four Nieces -Christina (Lovell), MeAsia, Ebony (Branden), Tytiona.
Four Great Nephews - Lovell Junior, Zyan, Zayn, and Zacari.
Three great nieces - Christiana, Lovayah and ZaNora Lynn.
Aunts - Sandra Barnes, Victoria Lewis,
Special People in his life- Karen (Gregory) Johnson. Nate Cooper, Richard Fern and Family
And a host of Cousins, relatives & friends. Funeral Services will take place on Saturday at 11AM in Restoration Temple 41 S. Carlisle St. Allentown, PA Viewing begins at 10AM Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
