Anita (Adams) Jones

Anita Jones (Adams) 65, of Tobyhanna, PA transitioned from Labor to Reward on November 27, 2021 at home.  She was born on August 3,1956 in Stroudsburg, PA  to the late Elizabeth “Betty” and Robert DeGroat. She was proceeded in death by a brother Brian DeGroat
She was survived by her only child, her “BabyGirl” Tracey L Adams of Tobyhanna and her special friend, Steven Lundy of Douglasville,Ga.
She adored her 4 grandchildren Denita “Pudd” Williams and her fiancé Sgt. Xavier Plaskett of East Orange NJ, Danyelle “Taz” Cranford and fiancé Brandon Champion of Long Pond, Pa, Aziz “Snuggles” Bell of Hillside, NJ, Fatir ”Bear” Bell residing at college at the moment.
She enjoyed the time she had with her great grandchildren Azur Treyvon Williams (8),Aziza Elizabeth Bell (2) and Dream Dior Bell (9 months). Her brothers Keith and Tony of Birhmingham NY, a sister Bobbette of Maryland. Several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews a special cousin Jill DeGroat aka Silly Jilly

She enjoyed her arts and crafts along with attending family functions. She loved listening to her gospel music along with Bruno Mars, Prince, El DeBarge, Bob Marley and Lee Oskar. She was a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan and she would wave her terrible towel as if she was at a game.
She enjoyed working at the American Ribbon Craft Outlet in Stroudsburg. She retired early from A Plus mini mart on Part Ave in June of 2017 from a massive stroke. She was adored by her family and will be missed by all who knew her. Anita was a longtime member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church where she served on the Choir, Sunday School and later as a Deaconess.

Funeral Services will take place on Saturday at 1PM in the Funeral Home.  Viewing begins at 12.  Interment will be private in Stroudsburg Cemetery.
