After graduating from County Training High School in Northport, Alabama, William known to all as Bill Brown, earned a full athletic scholarship for football and basketball to Alabama State University majoring in Physical Education where he spent two years cultivating his natural athletic talents. Once he recovered from his stroke, he spent the remainder of his working career doing seasonal jobs for Pollack Maintenance where he traveled extensively in this position.
William was raised in a God-fearing home attending church regularly with his grandparents and continued to walk in the grace of God by being a member of St. Paul AME Church in East Orange, NJ until he moved to Allentown, PA and became a loyal member of St. James AME Zion Church.
