Marion (Joseph) Estephan passed to her eternal reward on Saturday, March 16, 2019. She was born on March 10, 1947, to the late Jacob and Emily (Boulous) Joseph. Marion was a devoted wife to the love of her life, Youssef Estephan, with whom she shared 53 years of marriage. Her love for life and for people was legendary. People from all over Easton knew her as the lady who was always out walking. She greeted friends and strangers alike, with an infectious smile, and she was the first to help anyone in need. A member of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, Marion was a wealth of knowledge about the history of the Lebanese American neighborhood in which she grew up on South 4th Street. She was known for her colorful rock garden in front of her home on North 9th Street, where she raised her family and spent most of her life before moving to Palmer Township. For many years, she worked in the Easton Area School District cafeterias. After retiring, she loved spending time digging in her garden and tending to her many beautiful flowers. She had great skill at finding treasures at yard sales and thrift stores, and she could make a 50 cent dress look like a million dollars. She was known for cooking enough food for an army, and some would argue that her stuffed grape leaves were incomparable. Above all, Marion was the loving and selfless matriarch of her family—a wife, mother, and grandmother who worked hard and made many sacrifices to enrich the lives of those around her. She will lovingly be remembered by her husband and her four children who adored her: Evelyn and husband, Bobby Hanni; Joseph Estephan and wife, Denise; Jacob Estephan and wife, Melissa; and Marguerite and husband, Abe Georges. Her memory will live on in her grandchildren who all held a special place in her heart: Matthew Hanni and wife, Cassy; Leonard and Evelyn Estephan; Anthony and Athena Estephan; and Natalie, Andre, and Marcel Georges. Marion is also survived by three brothers: Elliott, Jacob, and William Joseph. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Wanda Lauer and Marguerite Johnson, and brother, Joseph Joseph. Calling hours will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, 55 S. 4th St., Easton, PA, followed by a Divine Liturgy at 11 a.m. Burial will be private at the convenience of the immediate family. Donations may be made in Marion's memory to Hospice of Lehigh Valley Health Network via give.lvhn.org.
