Our condolences to Karen's children, Colleen and Danny, grandchildren, and family. Karen was an altogether lovely, caring person who had a big heart and who always looked for the best in people. She was my mentor as a new nurse practitioner and her kindness and sense of humor left an indelible mark on my life. She was extremely dedicated to the babies in her care and to her colleagues, but it was when she talked about her children and grandchildren, (and later on her puppies) that her eyes really lit up. May she rest in eternal peace, knowing that her life made a difference in the lives of so many.
