Irving Clark, Sr., 81 of Allentown, Pennsylvania passed away September 19, 2017.  Born in Jersey City, New Jersey on March 13, 1936 he was the son of the Late Kary Clark and Irene (Suber).  Prior to retirement Irving worked as a Mail Handler for the United States Post Office.  He also proudly served in the Unites States Airforce.

Private services with immediate family will be conducted at the Greenwood Cemetery & Crematory in Allentown.

Irving painted and sketched hundreds of pictures of various subjects on velvet, canvas, and paper with uncanny ease. Demonstrating the uniqueness of people, and landscapes through his art gave him great joy. He was raised in Jersey City, NJ and attended Jersey City school system, and later obtained a high school diploma. Irving served several years in in the US Air Force. Shortly afterward he was employed at Dominick V. Daniels Facility Kearny, NJ as a Mailhandler from which he retired. Freshwater fishing, archery, family time, and African American History were a few of the many things he enjoyed. In the warmer months he loved to jog in Weequahic Park, Newark, NJ. Survivors: Irving survived by his former wife and lifelong friend Jean Clark, son Irving Clark Jr., his daughter in law Janice Clark (Moore),daughter Doreen Clark, and brother Calvin Clark. And also 3 grandchildren; Rashon, Adia, Taylor, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Kary Clark, and mother Irene Clark (Suber); brothers Kary Clark Jr., Marvin Clark, and Stella Mae Clark.
