Gerald Newhard

Gerald (Jerry) R. Newhard of Easton, passed away June 1, 2017 in Easton Manor Care. Born July 26, 1939 in Hecktown,(Lower Nazareth), PA. Son of the Late Paul Nevin and Lena Leanne (Laubach) Newhard. 

Surviving is a daughter, Tammy Bush, granddaughters, Jessica, Katie and grandson, Michael. Two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Brothers, Paul Newhard, Plainfield Township, PA: Nevin (Charlie) Newhard, Tatamy, PA., Glenn Newhard (Linda) The Village, Fla., Sisters, Betty Stocker, Easton, PA, Victoria (Vicky) Nolf. Tatamy, PA. He was predeceased by his brother, Richard Newhard, sister, Claire Fuls, Rosebella (Rosie) Shafer and Doris Werkheiser. 

Special to him was Marie his confidant and Toby his beloved dog.

Jerry served in the U.S. Marine Corps honorable discharged Lance Corporal E3, Commendation Marksman M-1 Rifle. He worked in various trucking industries as Sales Management ending at Mack Truck and Pocono Peterbilt. He was appointed Constable of Nazareth Township by Robert Freedberg, PJ. Certified a State Constable Commonwealth of PA 2006-2008 and was a former member of Brown & Lynch, Post 9, American Legion, Bath Republican Club, and  was a Life Member of Tatamy Firehouse.

Graveside services will be Monday at 1PM in Northampton Memorial Shrine.
