Charlene O. Brown

Mrs. Charlene O Brown 69 , of Allentown Pa passed away May 27, 2018 in her home . She was the daughter of the late Charles & Hattie Callaway . Charlene was a member of St.James A.M.E Zion Church , she served as a Sunday School Superintendent, Teacher , Missionary , and a Choir member . Mrs . Brown wore “many hats” which she loved . Charlene was an amazing seamstress who also loved to bake . She never missed a chance to help out at St.James . She was employed at Phoenix Clothes until they closed , from there she decided to go back to school to get her GED . Mrs. Brown later went to work at B Braun for 22 years and 2 months until her sickness . Charlene always made sure you felt welcomed even in her own home . Charlene is survived by her husband William Brown , Sons Jerome Callaway and Dexter & Timothy Brown , Daughter Crystal Brown . Grandchildren Marrissa Varju , Miranda H & Marcus J Callaway, Isiah Yeager , Tessia Brown , Jacob , Jordan , Deione & Tiesha Brown . Sister Lugene Callaway and Brothers Charles & Lawrence Callaway. And a Host of nieces and nephews. Charlene was predeceased by her son John F Callaway and her three brothers Fred Brown , Cecil & David Callaway . Humbly submitted by the Brown-Callaway Families
 

Homegoing Services will take place on Monday at 11:00AM in St. James AME Zion Church 410 Union St. Allentown.  Viewing begins at 9:30AM.  Interment will follow services in St. Mark's Cemetery.
