Have you ever known someone with whom you’re immediately drawn to? The warm, easy smile? Hearty laugh? Their larger than life personality? Someone so genuine, so loving, so true; the connection is instant and before you know it, you’re both exchanging life’s stories and are deeply ensconced in each other’s lives.

Can you laugh about how neither of you ever seem to never run out of things to say? And feel at peace knowing that you can totally be yourself? There is never judgement but rather rapt attention as though whatever you say is incredibly riveting and you’re precious.
Do you recognize the abounding patience and complete love and care? This kind soul is so amazing that you can’t help but feel closer to the Kingdom of God because she reflects God’s light and love so vividly.

That my dear friend, is my description of you.

I knew you’d be in touch this week and when I didn’t hear from you, I felt a nudge telling me to search your name online and I found your obituary.
I’m sorry that we didn’t get to talk once more and run down our phone batteries as we were known to do. I know the tears will come frequently as I mourn you. Honestly, they’ve already been flowing like a river.

Since we didn’t get that last conversation, I need to take this opportunity to thank you for all you’ve been and done for me. You’ve been such a good and loving friend and I will carry you close in my heart. I love you, Pat! I’m so grateful God brought you into my life. I have every confidence that you are happily in the arms of Jesus now and I hope we will connect again one day. Until then, I will thank God for my every remembrance of you and pray that He will comfort all who mourn you. My deepest sympathy and prayers are with Patty, Mickey and the rest of the family, fur(Jinga) and extended, too.

Rest in peace, my treasured friend and fly high! You surely earned your wings in your time on earth and made this life better for every life you touched, mine especially. God bless you!
