Dale Gaumer In Our Care

Dale T. Gaumer, 66, of Dunedin, FL, beloved husband of Vickie (Rau) Gaumer for 47 years, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2018. The son of the late Robert Gaumer and Margaret (Hudak) Gaumer, Dale was born on September 6, 1951. Dale was the proud and loving father to his son, Eric Gaumer and wife, Shannon, of Macungie, PA, and daughter, Jaime (Gaumer) LaForgia and husband, Raffaele, of Northampton, PA. He was also a devoted grandfather to his four grandchildren, Giulia, Joseph, Jaxon, and Zoe. A proud veteran, Dale served his country in the United States Navy by working as a skilled radioman from 1970-1974.  Upon an honorable discharge from the service, Dale regained his job at Bell Telephone (now Verizon), where he worked as a cable splicer for 30 years.  After retiring, Dale moved from the Lehigh Valley to Pinellas County, FL where he and Vickie spent over a decade biking, traveling, relaxing, and more. In addition to being remembered as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Dale will also live in the hearts of his many friends who appreciated his warm smile and good-natured attitude.  In addition to his wife, children, and grandchildren, Dale is survived by his sister Margaret (Gaumer) Druckenmiller of Catasauqua, PA, brother Robert Gaumer of Mechanicsburg, and sister Joanne Gaumer of Wescosville, PA.  No formal services will be held; a memorial mass will be celebrated at the discretion of the family.  Memorial contributions can be made in Dale’s honor to the American Cancer Society.
